ABOUT OUR TEAM

We have a very inclusive swimming program here at BMIS where we cater for all levels of swimming. Starting with Our Pre-K swimmers that are just starting to get the hang of swimming, all the way up to our grade 12s where we have our more competitive swimmers

Here at BMIS we have our swim program that is part of our school curriculum and takes part in our 2nd Quarter. This is where we go over the basics of each stroke for all the swimmers and non swimmers in every grade. Encouraging everyone to never give up.
 

We then have our swim team program that takes place in the afternoons after school. We have a total of 5 different teams that are made up of determined swimmers starting off to our stronger swimmers that take part in competitions nationally and internationally.

Our swimmers take part in a numerous events throughout the swimming season. From internal fun competitions to nationals competitions and for our older swimmers going to South Africa to compete internationally.

We hold try outs for all our teams to give the opportunity to everyone to have a go. We have certain criteria for each team. Our tryouts happen all throughout the year and this is also when we shuffle the kids around in the teams, promoting those that have reached the criteria for the next team.
